something i have noticed over the week, im not sure if its just me or some subtle nerf by the devs, but the trend of "disappearing" shells . Has anyone else encountered this? Round after round fired at a fully dialed in target at close/med/long range just "disappearing" in mid flight, no hit, not even a trace. And im not talking shots fired by inexperienced crews either, im talking 100 percent plus veteran crews with all the whistles and bells. any feed back appreciated, i need to know im not tripping and this is happening

It's not just you; my Jagdtiger's shells appear to be made of some sort of air-soluble metal, 'cos the buggers keep vanishing mid-flight.

Also, I seem to get it more with some guns than others; e.g. the long 75 in the StuG and Panzer IV are fine, but the 128mm guns in the Jagdtiger and Ferdinand are plagued by this. My VK4502A with the short 105 is fine, but the King Tiger with the long 105 gets it a lot; and yet the same short 105 gun that's fine on the VK4502A gets a bad case of the ghost shells if I equip it on the Jagdpanther, it's really weird (and yes, I know one's a PaK and one's a KwK, but they're both the short 105). I haven't yet gotten enough matches under my belt with the VK4502B - with the same long 105 as the KT - to properly see whether it's affected by this as well...at 1,200 bloody credits a shot it had better not be!

According to wargaming there are no 'ghost shells' but blame lag between the client and server, causing you to miss wildly. There is a way to turn on the server reticle so you can see where the server believes you are aiming. Try slowing the replay right down to 1/16 when you think you may have had a ghost shell, see if you can detect impact. Although i sometimes think i have fired a ghost shell, every time i have checked the replay i cannot prove it definitively. Not saying 'ghost shells' do not exist, just saying i have found no evidence yet
